Rolled Leather Collar

I was thinking of picking up a rolled leather collar for Bailey and the new pup to wear when we go out nd run on birds. I was looking at these collars and they seemed to be a little rough on the underside of the collar that is toutching the dogs neck. I was scared it was going to be too rough and rub the skin raw.

Has anyone used these? Anyone has any opinion(s) on these collars?

I'm just not fond of those, but my reasoning is purely aesthetic. I've not used one to test it myself. Aren't they geared for dogs with thicker coats?

Thats what I was thinking but Bailey is a setter and shes got a fairly thick coat. Hmmm I need to find one for the pup.
