Quail Hunt?

Post by rapid fire » Wed Nov 10, 2010 6:47 am

I would like to do a nice wild quail hunt next winter and need to come up with a date so my brother and father can choose their vacation time. Can y'all give me some general ideas of good places and times to go and get on some quail? No, i'm not looking for GPS coordinates. A good state and date is plenty and I can do more research from there. Thanks in advance and take care, Mark

Kansas, near Larned. Phez and quail numbers are way up this year. Great mixed bag.
Speak kindly to me, beloved master. Revel in my unconditional love, and give me every minute that you can spare, for my time with you is short.

Go over around Beaver Oklahoma if you want good public land hunting for quail. 1st week of December would be best that way you can hunt pheasant and quail. Most of the good quail hunting out where I live is private land or you really need to know where you are going on public land to hunt the quail and there are very few of us out here who know where to find the quail. It has been so warm here this year that the birds have not even started to covey up good yet. It is still 80 degrees during the day and in the 30's at night. 80 during the day at this time of year is extremely unusual for us. Good luck though.

Oh, I have to worry about it for 20 more years. I can just pick mine closer to time. Sometimes I wish I played the lottery.
