Stupid question on color of Brittany?

Post by Onk » Sun Mar 13, 2011 11:58 am

Filling out my AKC papers for my Brittany pup and am a little confused. What is the differance between orange and white or white and orange. I found where orange and white is standard, white and orange alternative. My pup has the Brittany eye patches and saddle and rear end patches all in orange with all white belly chest legs and a few orange freckles on the legs. Thanks for helping with my stpidity.

i believe the more dominant color is first..so if your dog has more orange you would put orange and white, if it has more white you would put white and orange.. :D ruth

this is correct the more dominate color is listed first

Time to get out the ruler and start measuring the spots on your dog.

Don't need to measure. If the sots are orange then the dog is white and if the spots are white then the dog is orange. :)

Yes, they are exceptionally beautiful and ordinary people who have ordinary Lews can rarely see the difference as their beauty leaves them completely awe struck and misty eyed.

I have always thought that a Britt is about the most beautiful dog out there. I've owned other breeds, but get more people stopping me and asking me "What kind of dog is that?" with my Britts. Their amber/yellow eyes are just spectacular. I am a little biased, but many bird dogs liik like they have been bred with coon hounds, but not the Britt. I love all breeds, but the Britt is the looker. Just see how many women love them, it is because they are cute.
