Classical Quotes of Old Birddoggers:

Post by Hookadooka BirdDogs » Fri Apr 27, 2012 6:24 pm

Our Dogs are equal, but mine are more equal than yours...
My dog is an out cross, yours is a mongrel...
My dog is scent marking, your dog is pissing...
My dog has an independent search but your dog runs out of control...
My dog will hunt close, your dog is underfoot...
My dog is bold, your dog is a hammerhead...
My dog is steady to wing and shot, your dog is a slow starter...
My dog had a stop to flush, your dog took out the bird...
My dog has a pedigree, your dog just has papers...
My dog has a rough coat, your dog is a hairy mess...
My dog is productive, yours is just a meat dog...
My dog is on point, your dog is just standing there...
My dog is a forceful retriever, your dog mangles the birds...
I have imported dogs, you bought yours from a foreigner...
My dog is stylish, I can't tell if yours is pissing or pointing...
My dog anticipated my command, your dog broke...
My dog is shedding, your dog lost it's undercoat...
My dog stands over a lot of ground, your dog is too "bleep" big...
My dog is calm, your dog isn't very alert...
My dog was force trained, yours has been beaten into submission...
My dog is pointing the birds close today, yours has a poor nose...
My dog has an expanded search, yours runs all over the place...
My dog checked downwind of that cover, your dog missed it completely...
My dog has precise locations, yours gets on top of the birds...
My dog is methodical, yours is slow...
My dog checks for ground scent, your dog tracks all the time...
My dog is not gun shy, yours is probably deaf...

Thanks to Rospigans Hund for the above. Care to add any quotes? Been around this person at a Trial or Hunt?

How about "my dog hunts for me, yours hunts for himself".

I wonder what he say's when he wants his dog to stop and stand still. Dr. Alvin Nitchman watching a dog run off while the handler was yelling whoa at it.
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!

Just thought of something today as I clipped the dogs on the stakeout chain I got that used to belong to Schwertsfeger............. if that chain could tell stories,it's about 45 years old or more,I got it as a wore out one,all the chain links where the rings were attached were wore out,I cut back 3 links and welded a new ring in them.If that chain could talk or if one only knew the number of CH's that had been clipped to it..............
