Low lifes!

Post by brad27 » Fri Oct 05, 2012 10:43 pm

I just got back from deer hunting in Utah. Two days into my trip I got a call from the person that was taking care of my pigeons saying someone stole all but one if them. What is wrong with people? Really, you're going to steal 25 pigeons? I know I can start over but I had a decent breeding program going on. I tried not to think about it during my trip, but now that I'm home..........

uh oh..................... no buck? I know what it's like to lose 20 birds, free ranged em to much and the interlopers from where I work a mile away abscounded with them and now they live down by the docks on the bay,I worked out on the dock today and saw just about every bird I had.I had a hawk get in my loft and kill one, after that they never came home, they return everyday and sit on the powerwires but roost at the dock at work.

Nope, no buck. Could have brought meat home but decided to let em grow bigger for years to come. I did try for 4 days to get a buck that looked like elkhunters except he was a 4x4 in the 180 range but never could get closer than 273 yards. It's ok, I know where he hangs out. Hope he'll be there next year. It's one thing to lose your birds to other pigeons or hawks, but when someone comes on your property and steals them...........

Who would steal nasty pigeons. Is there anyone who knows where you live that may be training a young dog?

Yep, and anytime he wanted to take my dog out without me I'd let him. He may be an a-hole, but he's no thief.

Could be worse. I had a dog stolen while at a Gun Club Championship week end. Never to be seen again.

STOLE YOUR DOG? At an event? That's about as low as it gets.

That's just adding insult to injury at this point. Hopefully that thief isn't using them as shooters and they'll return eventually.

I'm glad they didn't get the waterers. Those things were expensive at 30 bucks a piece.
