Birds avalibility
Re: Birds avalibility
I raise birds and guys are calling me all hours of the day and night looking for birds. I didnt raise enough this year to meet the demand. Hopefully next year I will be able to get some more flight pens built so I can raise 10,000 in hopes that they will all move.

Re: Birds avalibility
I spent the first six months of having the dog not being able to find birds nearby for purchase - and I spent a lot of time Google-searching, but didn't have any personal contact with people and couldn't find anything. Recently I've found there is a hatchery about an hour away from us, which is probably the closest thing we have any chance of finding, but I haven't contacted them just yet.
Re: Birds avalibility
I bet there's feral pigeons around within an hour too.
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!
Re: Birds avalibility
Yep, there are - dozens of them, but the government protects them just like it does the coyotes on the base. Otherwise I would have put up traps months ago.DonF wrote:I bet there's feral pigeons around within an hour too.

I can find any, and they are always available. Price is the only difference.
