You haven't added your location in your profile so........... I could show you some places in Canada. :)

OK you just narrowed it down to 600 miles or so.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

You can't train on wild birds during the summer and it will be next to impossible to find any on public ground anytime.

Don't a lot of pros head to the Dokotas to run dogs on wild birds during the summer?
Ezzy, Thanks for fixing the problem.

My favorite thing on the internet, blatant misinformation stated as a fact.

Many pro trainers and serious amateurs spread out through North and South Dakota, Canada, and other places specifically to train on wild birds during the summer. I would recommend contacting a few of the pros that go north for the summer. They may be able to point you to some public ground, or someone may let you on their grounds for a fee. I think you have to purchase a permit in North Dakota, I would contact the DNR and ask.

My mistake. Since we were talking IL i posted without stating IL in the post. I should have said "You can't train on wild birds in IL" And I think that is true in most of our neighboring states, because we have pheasants that nest during that period.
