AA Brittany lines and Breeder.

Post by uthunter » Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:30 pm

I have a friend that is looking for a big/powerful running Brittany pup. I am looking for suggestions on specific lines or breeders to look at in achieving this. If you have a link to a site that would be great. Thanks

Pineyrunkennel.com Martha has a good litter planned this spring/summer
knine and chukar12 that post here also produce some powerful dogs

I don't know if Dave and Fay Walker have any litters planned, but I would check with them also.

The Littles in Washington state, Jim John in Kansas, Chad Holman in IL. The first cause they are close, the others because they have good dogs.

There are many others, these are just my personal choices.

Dave and Fay Walker have a long history of outstanding Brittany's. Used to compete against Dave in trials many, many years ago before I went to GSP's. They are good, honest people. While I haven't talked to them in about five years, if they have or are going to have some pups, it would be worth your time to give them a call. Good Luck. Was braced once with Bean's Blaze. Boy was that fun. Each dog had three wild covey finds during a 30 min brace at what was once the Running High Hunting Club in Bowie Tx. A very good memory! The Holman family also has been in Brittany's for many generations.

I don't have any contact info but a gent by the name of Jim House here in oregon has been very successful running britts in field trials and he has some burners. I believe his kennel name is Jalos kennels....

BTW, i would definitely talk to chukar12 about a dog......I would guess that he is pretty well plugged into the FT britt world in the western US.

One thing that i have found is that their are alot of great dogs bred in FT circles that you would have a hard time finding out about if you aren't plugged in to the FT world. Alot a people breeding that don't have websites, ads etc as the dogs mostly get sold by word of mouth within the FT community......
