So im about to have my recall pen ready to go. I wanted to know if it made a difference to what type of quail i had. Does it matter which specific type of quail recall? Can there be a mix of different quail. Im new to this so i needed somw info. Thanks!.

I would think you would want to go with bobwhites or Tennessee reds I don't think coturnix quail recall or even fly that well.

What's the coldest temps bobwhites (mature) can handle without having to put a heating source on them?

mine stay in a covered pen all winter with no heat source and we never lost any this year just make sure they have feed and water. here in eastern ohio we had some pretty cold days this past winter
