Not sure on an exact age for pups to stop getting new ticking, but my Pointer's ticking shows up more during the cold months. Maybe their hair gets longer. During the summer it goes away. Kind of strange.

Ruger kept getting spots for about a year. I don't know if this is normal or not. He has a lot more then the Picture shows.

The spots pretty much stop when growth does. Everyone of those spots were there when they are born but the tinest just aren't big enough to show till the dog is full size. They do show up more at different times of the year depending on the coat at the time.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Run your hand against the lay of the coat, you might see the darker colour at base of hairs.
