moving a loft?

Post by big_fish » Sun Jun 01, 2014 8:49 am

I want to build another loft but it would be about 50 yards away from the original one on the otherside of my yard. Would I be able to move the pigeons with it or just start it with more young birds? My goal is to have 1 loft for breeders and another for my flight birds.

The birds would move if you want to do it that way.

I'd probably keep them locked down for a couple of weeks once you move it.

I would put a settling cage on the landing broad to help settle them in the new loft

Shoot. Until you get more birds, what would be wrong with leaving those birds where they are? One loft for breeder's and one for flight bird's? doesn't seem to matter which birds go into which!
