Sad Day

Post by cohanzick creek » Wed Apr 25, 2018 9:06 am

It was a sad day here yesterday, I lost one of my favorite dogs. His name was Winchester. As a pup he was bold and into everything, but as he grew I realized he was just a big pup at heart. So we had to change his name to Winnie the pooh! Winchester would have been 14 this December. Winnie's son Jerry Lee keeps looking for him. He will be missed!

I'm sorry for your loss of Winchester. Let the happy memories in through the sadness...it sounds like you have many.

It hurts badly every time. Sorry. I have a 13 year old I am trying to prepare myself to lose - if that's possible.

The sadness is a result of the great memories. You have a lot of them.

Very sorry for your loss, it is always hard! I too have a 14 year old gun dog (Magic Maddie or first Field Bred Golden Retriever) her hips are going and she has had two mammary cancers removed over the last 4 years. But she is still happy and playful, just a bit slow....I am dreading the time we lose her...

They say these dogs will be waiting for us on the other side of the 'rainbow bridge'.....

Thank you everyone who has replied to my post. It means a lot to me. Out of all the dogs I have ever owned he is one of the two that really broke my heart. I really miss my Kacee too! Thanks again!

sorry to hear of your loss and condolences. I know the time is rapidly approaching for my dear old lab, Chaz. He has a very willing spirit but his arthritic flesh has made him weak
