Today my old guy goes for surgery to have a nasty thingy removed from his leg. I'm hoping above hope that it isn't a mast cell tumor, and will ask my good vet to take the widest margins he can just in case.
Then next week my young dog goes to Ohio State for an evaluation of a mass in his eye. My vet thinks it's a type of tumor that is generally benign, but it needs to be removed because it will grow and compromise his eye.
I tell you what, I've had a bunch of surgeries and never felt a minute of nervousness about them, but when it comes to my boys going under the knife, I'm shaky!
