Re: Training Day (UPDATED DATE & PLACE SET)
I really wish I could come to this, but the Army has already recalled me to show up for something in Chicago, why I dont know. This sounds like a very awesome thing to go to and I hope there are more opportunities like this in the future.

Tell me how many pigeons you all want to use and I will try to have them available.

I was going to get some shooters. I have flown them that far but not the ones I have available for this.

Re: Training Day (UPDATED DATE & PLACE SET)
I'm here in the edge of Dixon and just a couple of miles from the motels.I will have room for any of the dog crates and a kennel run that everyone can use also. If we don't get a full group I even have a few acres here that we can train on plus sit around and tell lies. Plus unlimited pigeons we can use also.
Plan on staying here in Dixon, it about 25 minutes from Rack and Wing, 2 minutes from my place here, and 10 minutes from a few acres I have ouside of town. I think everything we need.

I would bring my wife, but she just has no interest in it and I never ask her to do anything that she doesn't think she would enjoy. She shows the same consideration for me.
As for me, I am really looking forward to it!!

How old is your Baby Girl. I am bringing my Wife and my 1.5 year old Daughter along. She goes head over heels for dogs. She will have the grandest old time. I'm getting exciting as we are two weeks away. I think Joe (GittrdoneBritts) can vouch for that. I even started talking about finding a School Bus for road trips LOL.

She is 4 1/2 months right now.....be almost 5 mo at that time. But she is a lil cracker, fun to be around, she fell asleep in my arms working dogs down at Maurices couple weekends ago, me, her, an momma, were cruizing around loading releasers. Next thing I knew, she was snoring. Thanks Jonesy

You'll love my daughter, She has learned to pull us to look at things and if the dog or cats are bothering her or trying to get something she's learned to start waving her arms frantically to get them to go away its so cute. All she says as of right now is: pointing at things say oooo, Daddy to everything, Uh-oh and a few other cute sayings. But she sure loves dogs.

I hate to tell you all this but you are going to spend the first two years of their lives teaching them to walk and talk and then the next 16 years telling them to sit down and shut up.

Re: Training Day (UPDATED DATE & PLACE SET)
Ya I have learned that. First it started by saying I can't wait till they crawl, then it was Walk, Now its Talk, Next it will be are you 18 yet. LOL I am hoping she will like hunting with us. She loves dogs, being outdoors and trucks. So I hope keeping her around these things will steer her to liking to do them. I think all you will love her she is so adorable.

And to keep it dog related and on topic, Do you think it would be wise to try and try intro to gun or wait till she goes to training for that. I will be picking up 20-30 Shooter pigeons for everyone. I will pass my cost on to you which is $2 a piece. Should I try to get more or do you think 30 will be enough.

Ya I think I may try to Intro her to the gun. I think that will get her going really well in training. Her drive is way up and she is kinda pointing, still wants to run after them but that will be fixed soon.

Anyone who has told either ezzy brittlver or me that they are coming needs to PM me on what time they would be coming and what they would like to do for lunch, and with the actual number of people wanting to work dogs we are thinking of moving the training day from Rack and Wing, and just meeting at Ezzy's house and doing any training on a Piece of land not far from Ezzy's house in DIxon that he owns. So again Pm me with your thoughts and we'll update it again in a Day or two when I have a reply from all coming.
Thanks,
Joe
