Weather conditions were tough today, but I wanted to get the dogs out for a run. So glad I did because we found a bunch of birds. In the 1 hour and 20 minutes were were out my setter found 10 woodcock and one grouse. I got some good video of my setter on point and with a couple nice relocates.

I love my dog's intensity and those occasional quirky points. We were training yesterday and Whip was bounding around in huge leaps because it was on our own property and he knew that I had a pigeon planted in the launcher. So in this picture he's come from right to left and leaped right over the bird in a 15ft leap. He realized it in mid air and turned like a cat. He landed in position like spiderman on a wall and just FROZE. I had my 16Ga, Alpha 100 and launch remote all in my hand but I just had to pull out the cell phone and capture the moment.

Doing some work in the field the other day. Humid with no wind. Dolly went on point 10-15 feet out. I was really happy. She let me do a lap around her taking photos. She held it for about 5 minutes before I flushed.

Guy & Doug - Here's a family portrait. Annie's litter-mate Jesse is the dog honoring close up. Katie is on point (left), what turned out to be a single quail. Rey (right), 1 yr old pup from last December's litter, has no intention of honoring.... she did however have multiple finds and great natural retrieves on the trip.
