Anyone out there have any pictures and /or advice on building a whelping box for a 35lb. Brit. I have seen a few plans on the internet but would like some direction prior to construction. Thanks in advance Thor.

I use a little kids swimming pool. Works really well, is cheap, and canbe used as a place to introduce puppies to water while helping to keep them cool on hot days.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

I did last litter afterreading that you did it and it worked great. Put the pool up in the rafters for the next one :)

When it was waaay below zero I put a tent over it (cut out the bottom) and put a small elect heater in it. Kept em at 45 all during that spell.

I ordered the plans that Lion Country Supply sells. I built the box this weekend and I really like how it came out. $5.95 for the plans and approx. $70 in materials. I can honestly say I'll never have to build another one.

I did modify it slightly from the plans. The plans call for using galvanized conduit for the rails around the inside of the box. I went ahead and made my rails out of 1x4. Took a slight bit more work, but I like how it came out.

Your having puppies? When? What are your brits lines? I built a box out of 2 X 6's I like it only problem is it is way to heavy. built it 4 ft by 4 ft 12 inches high in the front 18 inches high on the other sides in he cold I put a piece of plywood over top of half of it with a hole cut in it for a heat lamp.

Try this link. I have a litter coming in late April and this is what I went by. Only difference is I made it 3' X 4' which is plenty large enough for a average Britt.
