Grant vs. The Pigeons

Post by grant » Wed Apr 06, 2005 8:43 pm

I'll start by saying pigeons suck! Last summer, I caught them like crazy. This spring, nada! I'm scrambling cause quail are becoming scarce about this time.... I'm going to start praying for pigeons! :?

B,

I saw an A. Owens in LaFayette in the Market Bulletin. He/She never returned my call... I think you know them, right?

You might try Collinsville Flea MKT. It is very time consuming to get pigeons est. Took me forever. Hopefully when our new building is up and new pigeon loft, we will have some extra to sell. Won`t be long. It is best to get ahold of young pigeons just feathered out before they have flown.

Takes them a few days to move in.

Heck, I never caught them last year and haven't even set out the trap this year. I'm going out to the hunting preserve for a little training (costly) when I can.. and when this swamp of a state dries up a little.

We got a lot last year by a bridge, until our trap was stolen! What luck... :bs:

Our best luck was when we kept a pigeon in for bait, they just packed that cage full.
