Fully trained puppy......(very pic heavy!!!)
Fully trained puppy......(very pic heavy!!!)
She has all her puppy work down pat so well I might have to start selling DVDs......
Here she is working on WHOA....
I think she's part kangaroo!!!
Nice point!!!
Talk about staunch.....(she was actually stretching and fell back asleep in my wife's arms!!!)
I'd say she's feelin' at home wouldn't you!!
She's a very good listenter.....
And a good eater too!!!
Honoring my 14.5 year old on a walk (wink-wink nudge-nudge)
Learning to pull herself outta her first HOLE!!
Coming to my telepathic HERE command....
Naturally quartering.....
Working various forms of cover.......
More quartering work.....
Time to head home.....

Thanks Rodger (and thanks all)!!Rodger wrote:Absolutely has to be one of the nicest looking pups I've seen in quite a while.
Great build, high tail set, solid liver except for a very well placed white star on the chest.
Mind if I inquire as to what lines she's out of?
I have her pedigrees on PDF so I can send them to you but no link for them right now so I'll just put them up in list form. I'm new to this and don't know what are good lines and what aren't so any background you guys can give me on these would be much appreciated too.....

Nice looking pup. There is somthing about the solid liver that really makes them stand out. I like them in all colors but the liver does it for me. Just to let you know there is a HT first weekend in May by Crab Orchard. Crab is about 30 miles from Beatrice, If you want to check it out.

Terrific pup and I love the color. I met a solid liver dog last weekend and it was a real beauty.
Funny thing, when I saw the first pic it threw me off for a second - we have the same (if not VERY similar) sheets and comforter and I also keep an extra blue pillow. Then I see the same bedside table and v-tech phone. I'm like - when were they in my house!

We pulled some flight feathers and planted the pigeon. Twice she went right in on it and it got away and I was able to catch it. The 3rd time she pointed and it flushed as I walked up, She was able to chase it down a catch it this time.Nebraska wrote:Great pic there Bonnie!! I like the name "Turbo" too....
Did you end up shooting that pigeon over the pup already? I was planning on taking it real easy with gunfire but if that's not the best way to do it, let me know.
Give me a call if you guys want to come down and trian some weekend. I wont be able to this coming weekend, but might be able to Wed or Thurs evening.
It's been a REALLY long time since I've worked with birds and was under the impression that letting them catch one was bad as it would lead to them breaking point. Is this no longer the mindset? Does it help them to get more fired up on birds if they get to chase and catch them?? Thanks....High Voltage wrote:We pulled some flight feathers and planted the pigeon. BTW - I'm not sure if the post above was pointed at me or Bonnie but my pup was ~ 8 weeks in the pics.

I know the feeling..... My kids are 7 & 4 and they were "counting the sleeps" until our pup showed up like they do for Crhistmas!!!wiggy wrote:nebraska yes i meant your pup, i am getting a pup next week and wanted an idea of what it would look like. my two girls(9&7) are bouncing off the walls in anticipation. actually im having a tough time sleeping myself.
My one piece of advice would be try and get as much sleep as you can - you're gonna need it.....
