Shipping birds via the post office

Post by Country-Side Breeders » Fri Apr 08, 2005 1:45 pm

Has anyone had the need to ship birds through the postal service? The man that I get my birds from needs to send some Huns. to N.Y. and VA and I told him I'd ask y'all for some info. to get him on his way.

I know it is done, my advice is call a big Quail breeder. I don't have a name but I would search the net and I would guess they could help you!

I would call that Red Hill Quail farm guy that advertises on this web site (top right corner)and see what he has to say bout the subject. Seems to me that someone said the Postal service was too slow...to expensive or something like that, I don't remember what it was. I'd call the Red Hill dudes and get the skinny on it from them I am sure they have shipped birds before.

I think you can get the boxes at the post office. I know people that send pigeons all over that way.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
