Killdeer Plains Update and Request for Help!

Post by midwestfisherman » Mon May 12, 2008 11:52 am

Let's get the GDF.com effect going for support of this decision!

Dear fellow bird dog enthusiasts and field trialers,
At a recent meeting of the Associated Bird Dog Clubs of Ohio (ABDCO), it was noted that Mr. Tony Celebrezze, Deputy Director of the Dept. of Natural Resources for the state of Ohio, has been instrumental in granting an extension for field trials at the Killdeer Plains WMA in northwest Ohio and Indian Creek WMA in southwest Ohio. He is also working with the ABDCO and other groups to obtain a longer term extension, as well as ensure the continued ability for field trials to continue in Ohio.
Mr. Celebrezze needs to know that his efforts are appreciated by the field trial and hunting community. You can really help this cause by sending him a brief email or letter indicating your support. Be brief and positive… something to this effect:

Dear Mr. Celebrezze,
Thank you for your efforts in securing an extension of field trialing for Killdeer Plains and Indian Creek WMA in the great state of Ohio. I want you to know that your efforts are appreciated and encouraged. I am looking forward to attending a trial in Ohio in the near future, thanks to your efforts. Keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXXXX

Feel free to copy this example or to modify it to make it a bit more personal.

Tony’s email address is: tony.celebrezze@dnr.state.oh.us

His mailing address is:
Tony Celebrezze
Deputy Director Ohio Department Natural Resources
2045 Morse Rd, Bldg, D-3
Columbus OH 43229-6693

PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL OR LETTER ASAP! OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE 3000 EMAILS IN TONY’S BOX THIS WEEK!! YOUR EMAILINGS WILL HAVE A MAJOR IMPACT ON MR. CELEBREZZE’S ABILITY TO HELP US KEEP THESE GROUNDS!
EVEN IF YOU DON’T FIELD TRIAL, REMEMBER THAT THE LOSS OF THESE 2 GROUNDS WILL BE ONLY THE BEGINNING OF LOSSES OF ALL PUBLIC LANDS TO HUNTING AND/OR FIELD TRIALING.
Please pass this notice on to other hunters and trialers. Permission to cross-post is granted.
PLEASE SEND YOUR EMAIL TODAY!

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
