Fox Red is a dark shade of yellow. They have been around for quite awhile.

I saw a beautiful reddish coat Lab at the Wisconsin Sports show a few years back. The trainer was from Burnett game farms and is highly regarded in these parts. The dog performed magnificiently at the demo.

When they brought the dog out I thought it was a young field Golden. Turned out it was a Lab. That is the only time I ever saw a Lab with a coat that red.

I have never seen one in person. With the folks breeding all kinds of "designer" dogs I was just wondering. Saw an add today for boxwielers.......hmmmm

Is it a solid red like a V?? If so, I've seen one myself @ the trap range. Also saw a pure white lab @ a summer festival a couple of years back. The guy said it was a "polar" lab??

My old neighbor in texas has 2 of them. They are not designer dogs at all they are just a dark shade of yellow. Kinda like snow labs that are white. They are just a light shade of yellow. They both currently have master hunter and the older one got the title at only a year and two months! He is a great trainer and has exelent bred dogs.

This was the first time I ever heard of a "Fox Red" lab. To me fox red is red not lightyellow. I see lots of foxes round here and was wondering what it would take to get a lab that red. Like a irish setter red was my first thought. thanks for the clarification....
