Sportdog SD 1850 upland ecolar
Sportdog SD 1850 upland ecolar
I was wondering what you thought about me getting a sportdog SD 1850 upland hunter ecollar as a backup and possibly using it as my main collar? My current collar is being repaired and I have been without one for 2 weeks. I honestly don't even know if it can be fixed. I have been offered an excellent deal on a brand new 1850. I am not sure if I should go for that one or pay a little more and get a Tritronics.

I have a SD-1200 and it had been an excellent collar. I dont really need a collar with all the whistles and bells but it does what it says it will do.

SD 1200, no problems besides the 9v battery in the transmitter i have to replace. in the market for a new one, will keep the 1200 for a back up though.

I've had the 1850 since they first came out. I run two collars and have had zero problems. I did break one of the collar contacts and Sport Dog replaced them free and quickly. It's simple to operate and works flawlessly.

I have the 2000 wetland edition. I got a heck of a deal on it. Although its a little larger than I need for upland, its a great collar. SportDog service was excellent as well!

I have one and no problems. The nice thing is to if you do have an issue you just send it in and get it fixed in no time.
Great company to work with.

I have a SD 1800 2 dog model for a few years now. Have not had one bit of trouble but I really do not like it.
I just bought a TT and will use it as my main collar and use the SD when running 2 dogs out hunting.
