I think I'll do del-val derby next weekend. This weekend my wife has plans with some ladies on Saturday (a big hike) and Sunday is kid stuff.

Gary,

Did you enter the Del-Val event? I'll be there on Saturday. I'm not expecting a lot, just an opportunity to run my young girl off horseback again.
If you're there, I'll be in the overstuffed Subaru w/ the GSP's.

I should be there all weekend also. We're running in the OLGD on Friday...the hour stake, and then the OGD on Sunday. If you need a scout, let me know. Is Brent (Sambuca) coming too? I heard a rumor that Sammie took 2nd in the puppy at Anthracite's trial this weekend!!

I wanted to get Margo down to the club this weekend so I will be able to introduce her to the 12 ga.

What time do the trials normally get done on Sunday?

This is going to be a big trial. I believe the gun dog stakes were closed or just about closed as of last weekend. They probably won't finish until 4:00 or later.

Sammy and I will be there on Saturday (we have a prior commitment for Sunday). We sent an email entry yesterday for the open puppy. The rumor was correct. Sammy ran well this past Sunday. I was really proud of him. We were thrilled to be in the top half of the finishers this weekend.

Hopefully this weekend he will be less distracted by me on a horse and have the same confidence to get out and hunt. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Congrats, Sambuca!

I emailed today to enter the Open Derby on Sunday. I have not heard back. What did your email say? I just said I wanted to register... it says you need to get the paperwork and money in before you run.

It might have been better to fill this out in advance and e-mail it: http://clubs.akc.org/brit/ClubPremiums/ ... T_fall.pdf

But as long as you said your name, address and phone # along with your dog's name and the event to be entered then you should be ok. Bring a signed copy of the form and a check with you.

After this trial you should be on their mailing list for Spring and should get your premium in the mail.
