Re: Frontline - best place to buy?
Yes I do, I've heard it said that I shouldn't need it in winter but I worry about fleas from being arounnd other dogs in hunting season. Maybe I'm paranoid but figure better safe than sorry.
Re: Frontline - best place to buy?
I thought fleas died outside after the first freeze. So what happens to us is we don't use it during the winter and then forget to start using it again in the spring until or unless we see a problem.
BUT, with the puppy - and I don't know if it's because of where I'm taking her or if it's because that soft puppy skin is appealing to ticks - I've seen quite a few ticks on her since I got her. So she's on it now and I'll probably keep her on it through this first winter and see what happens.

My viz has never had a tick on her since we got her (she is almost 2) and I pulled 4 off of her after this weekend's training session.
I need to get them on Frontline ASAP.

agreed, cheapest place to buy from. you may want to allow extra time for delivery because no telling where it is coming from. one pack i got from canada with units in metric, was a bit worried it may be a scam(dilluted) but it worked just as well as the higher priced stuff. second pack i got from new zeland, it took about 10 days to arrive.
i keep it on year round due to some of the unseasonal spans of weather we get here in NC. went for a hunt in late jan 2008 and found ticks all over my dog, like she got into a nest of em, they died or crawled off, none clinched on.

buy a single dose at the vet, that will hold you over until you can get your order.GSPVIZ wrote:My viz has never had a tick on her since we got her (she is almost 2) and I pulled 4 off of her after this weekend's training session.

I get my K9 Advantix (I like it better than frontline) and Heartgard Plus from these guys. Free shipping if you spend over $100 and you don't need a prescription. Takes like 3 weeks to get to Hawaii. I would buy 1 from the vet and order online for your future treatments as natetnc said above.
