Man what a great weekend. Took my 3 yr old EP (Boone) out last weekend for the traditional family quail opener. Boone had 9 points and 1 back for the weekend. For his one back he was backing the all time great Elhew Sunflower. She was buried deep in the brush in the water way, and He was standing tall on the edge. Each day we moved 10 coveys of quail, which isn't great, but better than years past. It was great to see more birds and see some good dog work.
Below is a pic of me, my wife, our baby Lacie and Boone

10 coveys a day sounds pretty good to me.

I would love to be able to move 10 covys in one day on a consistant basis. How did the dogs work the singles? that is the most fun. Grat picture, I am always glad to see pictures of familys enjoying the outdoors, and if it is with birddogs, thats even better. Looking foward to getting my 8 and 4 yr olds out to hunt over Thanksgiving as well.
