Does anyone here Dog Sled??

I am thinking about getting a dog sled for more enjoyment than anything. Anyone here have tips? I figure i can hook my GSP and GWP on it and they should be able to have probably just as much fun as me. Tell them whoa when i want to stop. I can work on the left and right stuff pretty easily i think.

We have long winters up here in northern WI, This would definately be something to do with the dogs and even through a kid in the front seat with me.

I've Skijor'd before with my Gordons. It's a cross between dog sledding and crosscountry skiing, and a lot less expensive to get into. As a matter of fact I believe GSP's are used frequently in Skijoring competitions. Google it if you're not fimiliar with the sport. It's popular in WI, MN and northern MI.

Go to shorthairs.net and look up MegC. She dogsleds with her GSP's. I have rollerbladed with my dogs but havn't brought it into dog sledding yet.

Been thinking about getting into sledding myself. I already hook the dogs up to riding lawnmower that I took the engine out of to keep them in shape. Figured sledding is just about the same thing. Let me know what you find out.
