Hartley's Fully Loaded Benelli (Nell)

Post by h.q.s » Fri Jan 02, 2009 12:07 pm

We got her yesterday. Let me tell ya, she is a hand full! But what puppy isn't  She is very smart, and eager to please.. I can tell that about her already. She loves to play and is adjusting ok. She is still a bit nervous at times, but she should get over that real soon. We really like her!!

Yeah I understand. She is a pup with alot to grow into. So with all that puppy fat and loose skin, it makes her appear to have abigger build... which labs have. She will grow into it. But that tail is still docked.

Razor Lantz reminded me that these are German dogs that have not been fooled with as he says by us Americans & the German type dogs are bigger & more coarse then the American type dogs simple as that.Oh they usually cost more too!!

Lantz, she looks every bit gsp, but I can see how some folks could get confused. Every black dog is a lab, every black/white spotted dog is a dalmation--like in that other thread. That second photo of Nell sleeping gets me every time. What are your plans for Nell? Denise

Not a lot of big plans. Maybe a JH, NAVHDA NA Test.. but for the most part just a good hunting dog and companion!

Very cute pup!!!! 2nd picture is almost too darn cute .. :D

Had to laugh at the lab comment. Daisy May has already been accused of being a chocolate lab a few times. Someone even made comments about me needing to feed my lab more
