Workin with the youngsters

Post by h.q.s » Sat Feb 07, 2009 5:05 pm

Went out this morning with Nell (3 month old Black GSP female) and Zeb ( 10 month old male) and then Jessy ( 2 year old female.... but no pictures of her)
It was a very enjoyable time. To me, the funnest thing about training is getting the pup on their very first birds! It was Nell's very first time finding Pigeon. She has chased a few around, but these ones were planted. I was very pleased with her, she is a pointing machine... especially for her age. Zeb did great too!!

Good times....

She is a pretty little thing. I love watching pups learn. It is so cool to see that light kick on.

Nell's looking good. Zeb's got that look in his eye, like you ought to be flushing a bird and not taking a photo!

That Black one has a long way to go to catch up to those ears! :P

The liver one has a stellar point! Good looking boy there!

We took our young Chessies out to the pond yesterday..... 74 degree day...had to close the store early and head home!

First time for Coke...our brown female....second for Rum... the dead grass male...... It was a hoot.... watching the look on the faces as the floor disappears!

Spring is almost here...have fun with those pups!

Nice looking dogs. The solid black ones sure look nice. Your male looks great also. Good luck with Nell's future training
