First Field Trial of our Season w/lots of pics

Post by Karen » Sun Feb 08, 2009 8:04 am

Had Blaze entered in the OSD stake at the MD Sporting Dog Association trial in Petersburg, DE (our first AF event). Here's what it looked like at home, catching Trav for the ride.

And what it looked like in DE!

Looks like a great time. A nice break from the snow and cold. Congrats on the placement!! Way to go.

Very nice! I like seeing pictures of trials. Gets me ready to enter one myself though I still have at least a week before I get my pup so it will be a little while.

Karen -

It was a pleasure meeting you. Congratulations on the placement. The Perry's seem like very nice folks also. It was a pleasure meeting them and I enjoyed being braced with John and Diamond.

Now that you know the way, perhaps you will make your way down here again.

Ray, it was a pleasure meeting you also! The Perrys are great people and have a true passion for this game. The grounds were very nice for Blaze, and I suspect Tessa would look good on them also. I'm sure we'll be back in the future!

Congrats! Blaze sure looks great.. Im so glad that things have come together for you so well, you certainly went thru your share of trials and then some.

Speaking of that Tessa....when are you gonna get around to breeding her? I still want one of her kids in the worst way!!

Thanks all!!

JAN, not sure when I'll breed Tessa. Doug gets a litter out of her but says he's in no rush...nothing out there excites him at the moment and I really want to see what I can do with her in the field before breeding her. I do see a Blaze/Tessa litter in my future though. I'll keep you posted on our plans.

Helen, I don't believe we're going to the AKC Pointing Dog Nationals this year. I'm saving my pennies for the ABC GDN's. If the Perrys decide to go (they were talking about it a month or so ago), I'll definitely send Blaze with them though. We've got a pretty full schedule this season between the AKC Brittany trials and the AF trials in the area, but this was certainly a heck of a way to start the season!
