training pictures from Colorado

Post by gozz21 » Sun Feb 22, 2009 4:37 pm

Here are some pictures of my 7 month old female GSP. Bella is sired by FC Rawhide's Direct Deposit and I bought her from a member on this site, Markj. Very nice dog with a nice run and a nice point. She also is a good housedog. I am student teaching in Denver, CO but I am originally from Iowa, so Tom Swezey of Indian Brook kennels has been helping me out on some weekends. Took her out today and she was finding and pointing birds nicely. I hope to have her ready to run in some AKC JH tests this spring. Let me know what you think

thanks
Jason

The birds are planted in thicker grass about 15-20 feet in front of her. The grass is kinda patchy but it works to hide birds.

These two are of Bella just hanging out in the house. The last one is kind of funny, she saw me taking pictures and was kind of confused and curious why there was a flash going off in her face. haha.

I just called him and told him to check out these pictures of the pup he sold me. I said he was going to check it out. Hoping to take her to some JH tests this spring. I am in Denver until May 8 but then I move back to NW iowa and hoping to get to some tests near Lincoln after that. Do you know of when they are going to have their spring tests yet?

They are only having one in the end of march this spring. The shorthair club canceled theres in may. You should be able to hit them in the Denver area around then I know last year the Weim club had theres the last weekend in April and the Skyline brittany club had theres the first weekend in May. Check out AKC.org under Events and Awards search and check it out but you outta be able to hit some up within an hour of Denver.

My buddy got one of those puppies also looks alot like yours just not as big.

Yeah I checked on the akc website and was planning on hitting up those tests near Denver. I was just hoping to have a chance to go to some by Lincoln and possibly mark would come and run pevo or something and get to see some of his pups doing the tests. So the only tests near LIncoln this spring is the last weekend of March?

She sure looks good there. You are doing a good job with her. She kinda reminds me of her mom :) My work changed last fal and I dote night shift with no internet surfing so the dial up I have at home keeps me off the boards. I am glad you called for the heads up there. Let me knowif you do run Lincoln and I will be down to watch with my son and maybe his pup. Should be a good year. I am planning on a litter using Pevo and Ginger again.

depending on when you're moving back to IA you may be able to hit the RM NAVHDA test and get her a NA score. The Heartland chapter's test is also in early May if you're already back home.

Check FieldTrialNews.com for a quick snapshot on the hunt tests in the area.
