Wow! These have been incredible, and I am glad there has been such a positive response.

Unfortunately, I sorta went with this idea without really clearing it with the gdf first and I have not been able to get their opinion on the whole thing. So I am going to say April is the last month of the contest (for now) since I don't want to further step on any toes if I already have. I really think this calendar could be great, so hopefully someone can make something out of it. I am really impressed with all of the pics so far.

Good luck all for April!!

Good looking pup. We had a blast talking about names for our pup (4 and 2 yos). Where are you/she from?

Whatever becomes of it, I think it was a neat idea. I posted this before, but I really think this shows that we could use a  PHOTOGRAPHY THREAD  . The two other places I visit, UBD and V-Dogs have one. I visit both to get photography tips and see what everyone else is shooting. It's also a guilt free area to post your photos. Just a thought to the hard-working, powers that be. Denise

Here is an almost shot. I wanted to get in front of the pup but it was too steep. The light rain also made it harder to get a good pic.

Sorry if I caused any problems or confusion. I have been away awhile, busy with work and all. Basically this idea was born out of a contest Eddie started last December. I proposed a monthly picture contest with a small nominal reward for each monthly winner. Between some of the talents on the forum who volunteered and some of the marketing/design people I know through my day job, I felt we could really put out something great. I offered to pay for each monthly prize and the design/setup of the calendar as a charitable cause. My thinking was we could offer these calendars for sale around the holidays as a way to raise money for the forum. And I think we received some really outstanding submissions. But after realizing there was not much interest in actually producing the calendar, it seemed rather fruitless to keep sponsoring the monthly contests (complete with the arguments about who should really win).

Again, I am sorry if I created any problems. It was just meant to be a fun way to see everyone's dogs and maybe raise a little money for the forum.

*edited to change "charity" to "the forum" in the last sentence.

Rob
