I went out to a NSTRA field trial here in Utah on Saturday. Just wanted to check it out and meet a few people. I am hoping to run my dog in one of these by this fall. If you have never seen one, get out and do it. Very fun, and there are a lot of neat dogs to see.
My dog is a little over 9 months old and I haven't found a source of birds yet for me to train with so he hadn't been on any yet. A guy at the trial had a few quail that he sold me and I went over to a nearby area where I planted them one at a time to see what he would do.
