The SAR bird. I know guys who were very happy to hear and then see that beautiful sight.

Where was that picture taken? That's some cold desolate looking landscape.

taken up there around Mt. Baker in january... we had one of the worst winters we've had in a long time up here. they shut the base down to mission essential only for 7 or 8 days in december

C17 globemaster is just the little guy compared to the C4 Galaxy....i also have pics of prowlers and hornets for days

Yeah, I know. I don't have any of my -5 or -141 pics handy. The real story in that photo in the P-38, which spent 50 years frozen in an iceberg before being raised in pieces and put back together.

That little P-38 is very cool. Tex-X, got plenty of pics of Rhinos here too...mostly from the exact opposite end of the spectrum as yours. (i.e. flying around Key West).
