The digital rebel is a great camera. Congrats on the new purchase.

It won't be hard to take better pics than me. I am still learning.

Funny thing is, lately I have found that it is better to just keep the pocket sized Nikon Coolpix 3 megapixel with me in the field. You really have to plan when you take out the digital SLR.

Right on. I wanted a camera I can pull out of the pocket and snap a shot. Like the ones I took training this past morning. So I bought a Kodak 360 digital and absolutly love it. Not the calibar of photos you are taking but for a quick shot in the field, I am satisfied.

It must be a bug.... I got the Digital XT earlier this summer and have been thrilled with the quality of the pix I am taking with it. Jen will usually come along on my training sessions and take pix for me and the only problem I've had.... is the number of flower closeups(macros) I find on the card when I get back to the house and download it  lol I really like the software that came with it too, although I am still learning how to use it.

I bought Donna one for her birthday back in the Spring. It's infinitely better than a consumer digital. You just have to learn to use the modes (e.g., Sports Mode)

The pictures in best JPEG mode can be over 5 MB each. I haven't even tried RAW mode.

Most of the pictures that I've posted in the album section are taken with the XT; they've just been cut down to fit the limits.

Here is a picture Donna took of Gunner. Notice how the water is frozen?

Best,
