Farm Supply Automatic pigeon waterer
I remember a while back somebody posted some nipples that can automatically water the pigeons. I thought it was farm supply or tractor supply but I can't find the info using the search. It might have been back on the old format but I am sure somebody knows what I am talking about. Feel free to post on this or on the hall of fame pigeon topic. Thanks for the help and I will be looking.

http://www.farmtekcatalog.com/0158.asp supplied the watering nipples I used for a large PVC waterer, but their online store is "down for maintenance," so I couldn't provide a direct link to the item.

Thanks for the info. Have you had any problems with this setup? Whould you do it again? How many nipples should have for about 10-12 pigeons? I was thinking about one for every two birds. Thanks again for any help offered. When I get all this worked out I will post the info on the hall of fame post.

Re: Farm Supply Automatic pigeon waterer
I didn't use mine long enough to know what long term problems might arise, because it lasted long enough without refilling that I feared I'd forget about it altogether. So it's been on what's probably forever-loan to a fellow who was taking a crack at raising quail. I'm more comfortable with the translucent bullet-shaped waterers that let me keep an eye water levels (and last for days with a lot more pigeons than you're talking about). Not sure why you're considering so many nipples, or where you'd put them on a vertical reservoir like mine, but I felt I was being redundant for safety sake with three for 20-30 birds.

Great, That will save me some money on the nipples. Thanks again for the info and I will post some pics of the loft when I am done.

Re: Farm Supply Automatic pigeon waterer
I've had 11 birds and 1 nipple at one point, they did just fine with the watering situation.....the hawks were a different story.
Re: Farm Supply Automatic pigeon waterer
I would have to say that 1 (nipple) to 10 birds is a good ratio. For 12 birds I would just use a bullet waterer.
