Is my new Gundog pup spoiled ??

Post by GrayDawg » Thu Jul 30, 2009 8:27 pm

My son took a line drive off the quad tonight in his baseball game- a shot right back to the pitcher's mound. He came home after the game with a nice little welt so I had him ice it while he watched some TV. I went upstairs to take care of some things.

I come downstairs 15 minutes later to this !! [-X [-X

The first thing I said was "Mom will kill you if she sees this." To which, my son replied, "She let's us do it all the time when you're at work."

I love this pup- she's a sweetheart who is always looking to please. She has a great nose and just last night she was ranging 30-40-50 yards out in front of my son & I when we took her for a walk off lead in an open field.

She's 3 months old this week- I didn't plan on letting her up on the furniture....... at least not yet! Your thoughts?

Just be careful or she'll do it when you aren't home.

My wife tries to tell me we should train our pup to not get on the furniture. Last night I was out of town and when I got home in the morning her and the pup were snuggled up on the bed.

Sounds to me like you are out numbered. And look how happy the little pup looks...or is that an evil little look that says "I win"?

If yours is spoiled, so are mine.... Life's too short to worry about hair/dirt on the couch (that's why I like leather couches!)

I'd like to add that I'm ok with a spoiled dog as long as they know their boundaries.
