This month we're doing a video contest. Shoot, edit, and post your own gun dog video on youtube.com - Much like this:

At the end of October, we'll pick a winner. (Probably based on the youtube views and ratings, and even a internal GDF poll)

Good idea. I have one that I think is a classic and a surefire winner in some contests, but is not suitable for a G-rated site like this. I will see if I can get some new footage this month!

As I watched the video I posted I remembered how great an area it was and all the birds we found in the off season. This last Saturday I decided to hunt it for the first time and took a limit of chukars out of one of the ridges in 3 hours. That is a pretty big deal out here in Utah.

In the land I training this year were more bird last year too, and you can to see in my video the wild bird ( sorry the text is in Spanish). We saw good dog in this videos contest and that is the important I think .

That is pretty sad stuff.

I have a hard time getting good video I am willing to post as in Utah when you get up high it becomes quite obvious where you are and if people know there are birds in the area they just might try out one of my secret spots.
