New to field trials

Post by deuceslegacy » Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:18 am

Im am wanting to get into competing in field trials. I am having trouble finding information on what dogs are judged on in the differant stakes and so forth. If you could help me with this weather it be directing me to a existing forum or explaining it to me I would be thankful

Here's probabaly one of the best places to start. It's the Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America Guidelines to Field Trial Procedure and Judicial Practice.

AND JUDICIAL PRACTICE

You might also look into NSTRA trials. www.nstra.org

I can fill in some blanks for you too. There was also a thread specifically on NSTRA if you do a search.

There is some confusion in the above posts. You said you were looking for trial info. Some listed are trials ( competitive) and one listed is a test against a standard. There is a big difference between tests and trials.I don't want to offend anyone but I for the sake of the poster the difference needs to be mentioned.
