New Field Trial Club NE KS

Post by topher40 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 3:59 pm

I know that a few of you on here are close to me so I am asking for your help in getting a new Field Trial Club off the ground. I will warn you that it is thankless, u npaid, and extremely gratifying position! I am looking for help this summer to get the grounds ready, i.e. putting in gates, clearing timber, making crossings, and running dogs to map courses. I am wanting to get grounds ready for next fall for the Brown County FTC's inauguration to the field trial world. If anyone int eh immediate area would be interested in helping promote the sport and become involved at the ground level as a founding member PLEASE let me know. I have the ground to start with a 3-4 course continuous course trial. That is the only way I will even proceed with this venture, anything less isnt of ANY interest to me. This would be a great opportunity if you are a "newbie" wanting to get some experience and exposure. Feel free to call anytime.

The plan is to start with walking and after a few years I may host a HB event also.

It's a walking trial, most dogs will fill the country. Short tail guys get so touching when you give em a little crap.

Chris if you need some help let me know. Are you looking to have the first trial this fall?

Vagas-
This fall is what I am shooting for. I hate to abuse you but I want some outside and impartial judges. Doesnt pay worth a darn and it pretty thankless but I could use you!

Rob, I would love to have you down here, the grounds are a little big though. Do you think can handle it?

If I can help at all, I would be glad to. We are a little ways away but when we visit the in-laws we are near St. Jo. Keep me up to date on the trial dates and I will try to swing down that way.

Good Luck

Yep, there will be room to pitch a tent or there is a bed and breakfast just 3 miles down the road that caters to hunters. I still have to talk to the guy about it and see if we can work out a deal but regardless it looks like the judges will be staying there.
