Meat Dogs Caught On Film !!!!
Well this is my first attempt at a video. I was inspired by DGFavor's cool video and decided to try doing something with my pics from the last year.Of course this doesn't even come close to comparing to DGFavor's but I had some fun putting it together. If nothing else it gave me an excuse to take a minute to think back on the last year, at some of the fun we've had as well as the progress we've made. Movie Maker is a cool little program to play around with. I learned a few things while doing it, mostly concerning my pics.
1) I need more pics. I tend to seldom take my camera with me and even when I do half the time I forget to use it. I need to remedy that for sure.
2) Pic quality needs improvement. I tend to take lots of pics and hope a few come out good (that is when I actually remember I have a camera LOL). Looking threw all my pics from the last year most of them were pretty terrible so I need to take tons more or work on my photography skills a little. Actually should probably do both.
3) I need more pics of my dogs from the front while in the field. Tough shots to get seems to me. Usually if I'm in front of my dog the camera is about the last thing on my mind.
Anyhow click on the pic above and it will take you to my vimeo page and you can check out my cheesey video. Pics were taken during a mix of off-season training, fun runs, hunting etc.. and even a few of them being couch potatoes in between.

Glad y'all liked the video. I enjoyed making it.
Yep the older she gets the more I see Dalin in her face. From a side view you kinda get caught up in that long and lean body and she reminds me of Jersey. Look her straight in the face though and there's no doubt who her daddy is. I don't know which one it is that she gets her nose from but I figure I owe whichever one it is a box of biscuits or somethin. She's quite a dog Bruce, I couldn't be happier with her.AHGSP wrote:Cool! I liked that a lot!

Very nice!
Re: Meat Dogs Caught On Film !!!!
She got her nose from Jersey/Jersey's Sire, my Percy. Percy throws that nose into his pups, no matter what female I seem to breed him too. It also seems to come through pretty reliably from those pups, on to the next generation. Here is a pic of a just 2 year old pup from this Fall, that was by Percy and out of my Lola. You'll have to look real hard, but if you look down field from Effie's point, you should be able to make out the white pigeon coming up as I flushed it. That point was at about 75-80 yards....
Jersey's Littermate sister Bella, was the female I bred to Brenda and Ricks Fritz and she had that habit of standing 50 yards and out off her birds. We've been seeing the same quality nose in the pups from that litter coming through as well. A couple GDF Members have pups from that breeding; Miller Clemson, SD Pheasant Slayer and I'm not sure what Jordan's handle is; but I think they would agree.

Nice pic Bruce. Good to know where that nose comes from. So next time I see Jersey I'll have to slip her some biscuits when Mike isn't looking .AHGSP wrote:She got her nose from Jersey/Jersey's Sire, my Percy. Shoot they think they own that couch.mrrosey wrote:they deserve the couch.
Too much snow this year. Usually I like hunting in the snow. This year it never had a chance to melt off before snowing some more. It just kept piling up, getting a ice crust on it then piling some more on. It made for some tough walking and beat up dogs in the late season. Of course now that the season is over the last few storms have missed us and I can actually see the ground again. Figuresecater2218 wrote:You have snow!!!
