elhew hannabelle

I see on another board that this dog won her 17th championship which just seems amazing. She must be considered one of the top females of all time. I was wondering what dogs she is out of.

Just a beautiful looking dog also.

My avatar was braced with her in her most recent Championship win. She is so beautiful that I think Jack tried to show off and ran completely off the course! Young dogs, what are you gonna do!? :D

She is one good looking Pointer!!

I was looking at her pedigree and i see that hannabelle and swami are out of the same dame

hannah's elhew lou i don't know what other pups out of this dam are like but i looks like she could very well be a blue hen, maybe she is all ready considered one i have no idea.

If you were looking for breeding to mother lines like i've heard yawallac talk about a mix of hannah's elhew lou and nell's rambling on would seem to work good.

Sunflower and Tumbleweed were out of the Lou, she may have produced more Shooting Dog Championships than any female, and more than a lot of males that are in the Hall of Fame. It is at least 4 winners and 55+ Championships.

Hannabelle's son, Sinbad, is winning in All-Age. This is some powerful blood,

I believe Elhew Swami (half sister to Hannabelle and Sunflower) is Elhew Sinbads dam.

I think the only male Champion that Hannas Elhew Lou produced was Ch Elhew Texas Snakeeye.

Birddog,
You are correct on both accounts. Sinbad is by Elhew Swami and Island Grove Brute. And Snakeeye is also out of Hanna's Elhew Lou.
The top three all time winningest shooting dogs are out of the same dog(Hanna's Elhew Lou). All three have different sires. That is what is unreal.

Elhew Hannabell by Elhew Hobo has won 17 Championships and 3 RU Championships
Elhew Swami by Elhew Jefferson won 16 Championships and 14 RU Championships
Elhew Sunflower by Elhew Snakefoot won 15 Championships and 4 RU Championships

Just in championships that is 69 placements. That is not counting the endless classic placement that these girls have placed in. Truely an amazing statistic.

I believe Hanna's Elhew Lou should be considered for the HOF. Not to mention the the dogs she has produced that has won and that she has some wins herself.

I was fairly sure that she was out of Elhew Hobo, isn't that right. I didn't think she was a full sister to Snakeye

Sorry, I was thinking Snakeye as I was typing Tumbleweed.

And was thinking about Amazin when I typed Sinbad,

I have got to get back on my meds or I will get this whole thing messed up, if any of you were to listen to me, sad part is I really know most of this pretty well, just can't remember sometimes.

Sorry,

Neil

Pool's Elhew Snakeye and he was a walking trial dog, he was later sold and campaigned in horseback trials. I haven't seen many pups sired by him.

I don't know about how many of his offspring are on the field trial circuit, but just in the last year it seems like I have seen numerous litters sired by snakeye advertised for sale. I know he is getting up there in age and if I recall correctly at least one of them was a frozen semen breeding.

Ya he has got to be getting up there in age. I tried to breed one of my females to a son of Elhew Sunflower, he was to old to get the job done, I think he is 8 or 9.

She just won her 18th Championship today. I heard it was the best performance Kinkelaar has seen out of her. She won the Missouri Open SD.

This marks Kate's 18th Championship performance. Nice to see Scott in the Big Time."

And Braxton has the highest DoY point total I ever recall, with a number of trials to run:

"Purina Top Open Shooting Dog Points as of March 8, 2010

Don't engrave those plaques yet - Trixie and I are going to make a run at 'em from the bottom of the barrel, they'll never see us comin'!!

Amazing accomplishment in what has to be one of the toughest, if not the toughest, bird dog games to consistently come out on top - open SD stakes. There are just so many good dogs and competitors. Thumbs up!

Just heard a rumor (not confirmed by Dr. Morgan or Shawn) that they may breed Braxton (Amazin) to his Mother, Hannabelle.

Interesting if true, I think that would be her 3rd litter, making the 18 all the more impressive,

Hannah's Elhew Lou.For those that don't know Lou was a left over pup from a litter.  Nobody wanted her.   My good friend Ralph Thompson from Mcpherson Ks. raised her as a puppy & gave her to Bryce Flaming (His Stockbroker) as a gift.  I had the top (2) PICS OUT OFthis litter that Lou(originally Betty Boops) was out of.   They were very nice females.  I lost one probably the nicest of the two to Narcardia within one year.  I hunted a sparinly trialed the other.  Actually tried to trial her as I was a foot trying to work a true big running bitch.  During her early years she would run out of the country (a true horseback dog).  Not knowing what I had, I never bred her to big name dogs.  Although she was a very nice bitch.  Yes, this bitch is a blue hen as were all in this litter.  Probably the nicest female in this litter ended up in a pet home (ironic) as it may be.  Pure class.  Got to give Sean K, Bryce, Eric Butler + others credit for pushing on a good bunch of dogs. I wish Ralph was alive to hear about the progress his breeding has made amongest the breed. Congratulations to all involved as these thing don't just happen. Nice dogs are a pure pleasure. Only wish I had known what I had at the time. We all learn by experience. Wishing I could reproduce what I had.

Hanna's Elhew Lou,

Just a little background on Lou. She was a left over pup from a litter raised by my good (late) friend Ralph Thompson. Ralph resided in McPherson, Ks. and loved a good bird-dog and had the knack of good breeding. Lou was the left-over pup from the litter. She originally was called (Betty Boop). I had the (2) top picks of the litter Lou was out of. I lost one of the bitches to Nacardia at approx. 1 year old & had the other for years. I trialed her sparingly in walking stakes which proved to rather unproductive as she ran way too big for this venue. I didn't breed her to Snakefoot, Jefferson, Hobo or others much to my dismay as I did not know how nice of dog I owned. Mr. Thompson gave Lou to Bryce Flaming (his stockbroker) and the saga begins. Mr. Flaming, Eric Butler, Sean K. all contibuted to a substanial influence to the pointer breed. Just wish I had known what I had at the time.
