Sarah's Boys

Post by Yawallac » Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:17 am

A friend, Joe Pope, a contributing photographer to many of the publications that we enjoy, including, but not limited to; Field & Stream, Pointing Dog Journal, etc. visited the Plantation yesterday. He wanted to get some pics of dogs backing, so I grabbed a few of our beasts and we headed out.

I didn't even realize until after I saw this pic ...that all three of these boys are from Sarah!

Very nice.
On the two liver dogs I notice a bare/frayed spot half way up their tails. I have a pointer with the same thing in the same spot and just wondered what was the cause.

Cooper and Rocky just came back off the circuit and they all have that when I get them back. I believe it's from being stuffed in small dog boxes. It grows back over the summer.

The three Musketeers...looks good Ross...all out of the same mold!!!

Wish I could convince folks to box dogs a little tighter..they are a lot safer that way...just enough room and bolt 'em down. If you ever had an accident, a dog can "accelerate" to quite a velocity in an oversized crate before it hits the wall...

Is that as intense as they get? Beautiful dogs.

Nice looking dogs Ross. Just curious if these were the pictures for backing purposes as these pics all have the dogs tight into the scent cone.

That's pretty funny drifter because there wasn't ANYTHING real about these pictures! The photographer even used those big round light reflectors that you've seen used for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models on the beach!!
