Off Season Project

Post by tommyboy72 » Thu Apr 29, 2010 5:10 pm

Just thought I would post some pics of an off season project I am working on with some kids at the local alternative school as well as their principal and art teacher who is a friend and co worker of mine. About all that is left is to install the inner gunnels, the keel, sand and stain. Should be done by next week. Can't wait to get it in the water.

Sweet, what design is it?.....My son built this when he was 12. It's a Littel Dubber Design...was a great experience for him.

My buddy pieced together several different design concepts and just sort of came up with this one. The other designs were for 12 footers but we made 16 footers in order to accomodate more people and gear.

That's awsome ! Kudos to you for giving your time....

I started building my own skiffs for duck hunting about 18 years ago....
Nothing like a wood skiff and the feeling of accomplishment of building
and using a boat you made yourself.

Hats off and here's hoping the kids really take something from your efforts.
The second kick from a mule is of very little educational value - from Wing and Shot.

Neat!
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.
