Closest state for me to get into wild birds???

Post by collinedward » Tue Jul 20, 2010 4:20 pm

I live north of Cincinnati and this fall/winter I finally have time to head out of state to hunt some birds. What state is best for pheasant? Kansas ? Iowa ? Nebraska? SD ND? I plan on spending a whole week and want to get the best bang for my buck.

Go SD, you will limit out. Depending on where you go in Iowa you might struggle to find a few. Go to SD after opening week and there will still be plenty of public hunting places open.

if your coming west you might as well go to the birds. Sd has the birds. Central ND does to, but a farther trip.
