Lost/stolen Weimaraner

My weim puppy "Cherry Pie" went missing off my farm last Friday, July 30, 2010. I have completely scoured the area and have contacted all the likely resources for help. I am beginning to suspect that she is no longer in my area. I live in central Georgia, but she could be anywhere. I know it's a longshot, but here goes:

8 month old female Weimaraner. Solid gray, no markings, yellow eyes. Smaller than your average weim, 30-35lbs. Last seen wearing a black nylon collar with a blue Putnam county rabies tag with her name on the back. If she was taken, she likely is no longer wearing the collar. If you have any information, please CALL ME at 478-451-0646 or email directly at zumziel@windstream.net

ZZWeim,
I will spread the word thru the Pa boys with the Weimar Kennels and individual hunters also, has your pup been ear tatted or Chipped, any way to identify her, so we can help you more.
Had a Ryman pup stolen from us 2 years ago, we were lucky, we got the pup back. When I saw your post my stomach turned over, I hate these kind of people, try posting a decent reward, contact the VETs in you area, and advertize the reward the best you can. Make sure your hunting clubs and Weimar club know what happend, you would be surprised what might happen. In our case the Potter County Grape vine was responsible for the return of the pup, some of these old timers up here in our mountains are vicious about theft, the dog was retrurned after 10 days gone. Don't give up get the word out as far as your can.
Real sorry about your missing pup.

Aline,
So sorry to hear about your dog. I'm wishing for a happy ending for you and I've posted to my FB page.
Was Cherry Pie "out & about" when she went missing or was she confined to a kennel? I ask, because
if she was not confined, could she have been bitten by a snake for instance? Not sure if you folks even
have venomous snakes in your neck of the woods, but I'm just throwin' it out there.

If she was stolen, you really need to get the word out beyond your local area- vets, shelters, local weim clubs,
make flyers & post them at pet supply stores if they'll allow you........

Thoughts & prayers are with you hoping for a quick return.

Rob

Cherry was one of her dogs that got bitten just a couple months ago.

I really hope you find her soon, Aline.

Thank you everyone for posting Cherry Pie's info on your facebook pages and other forums. I had considered a snake or other demise, but I had tracking dogs out the first three days and they covered every inch of this farm. Even if they had missed her somehow, the vultures would have found her. No buzzards. She's not on the farm, which is fenced. The pup simply vanished

I had one of my setters stolen .

What got her home was an ad in the local newspaper for 2 weeks + a picture. Cost plenty but.....
The guy who had her planned on keeping her but his neighbor alerted me.

I hope it turns out well for you Aline.

Can you think of anybody that had been around recently prior to her coming up missing, that really took a shine on her Aline? I'm so very sorry to hear you've had no luck in her return yet.

I highly reccomend calling your local radio staion and asking them to give a description of the dog and that it's missing and offer a reward. Most radio stations will do this no problem. I know we have 3 local staions here that do it all the time for people and it works better than anything else.

I had the same thing happen to me and I had the radio announce it and a lady called me within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, my dog was dead beside the road and she had seen it. At least I had closure. Its worse just not knowing what happened. Most of the time the dog is OK though. Even if someone took it the radio covers a large coverage area. You may be suprised.

I hope you are reunited soon!
