Had the 7 month old pup out today....we've been hitting the woodcock and grouse as of late so I thought I'd throw some planted pheasants in the mix....He did really well holding his point....only had one rooster run on him which he tackled....I took him off that bird and reset him in a different direction...ended up coming back in the area and got a good point and flush on the same bird....

2 hours put up 7 birds and came home with them all.....Had Otto swimmin in a creek to cool off after about an hour....Great training day!!!

My 6 and half month old pup will be out on his first hunt this weekend, cant wait! The first hunt is always exciting, I think more for me than him.
