Yes I see Goldens with a small white "star" frequently. How big is the white area?

I have seen small white patches on the chests of some of the field bred Goldens at obedience competitions.

You won't see white in the conformation lines as it is heavily penalized in the breed ring.

hard to tell how big its gonna be, as they were just born this morning, but its about the size of a quarter right now. all the rest of the litter is clean, though.

i was just a little nervoous because i was worried that my britt might have got to the golden before we got everybody separated. based on the breeding date vs whelping date i think we are okay, but just wanted to see what everybodys experience was. i thought i had seen a white star on a golden a time or 2 before, but couldnt remember distinctly.

I have also seen white spots on Goldens chest, white toes too. It happens in other breeds too, for example, German Shepherds can have it and it usually shrinks as the dog gets older, some even go away completely.
