Kansas Walking Trial

Post by topher40 » Mon Jan 03, 2011 11:17 am

The Brown County Field Trial Club will be hosting a trial this spring on Feb 19th-20th. This is a walking trial with a Sh Dog, Derby, Puppy, and Gun Dog stake. This event will be ran on wild and liberated birds. Great gifts and trophies for placements. This is open to all pointing breeds. Please call me for more info or to enter a dog or stay tuned for the ad in the field for the folks that subscribe.

What city will the trial be located in so I can check the distance?

Thanks

I have a couple more questions. Can the same dog run in Shooting Dog and Gun Dog stakes and how much is the entry fee?

Thanks Again

There is still time to enter in the raffle for the k9 kondo type dog house that I am raffling off EXCLUSIVELY on GDF also. You can view the exact specs at http://www.optionsplus.com/doghouse.htm

Chris did a great job last fall, and the grounds are great. I'll be back again, enjoyed the time at the trial.

Entry fees are going to range from $35-$55.

John-

Thanks for the kind words, I had tons of fun putting it on last year and this spring promises to be bigger and better!! We have great accommodations, great grounds, great restaurants and even better judges! You can see the accommodations at http://www.thefairviewlodge.com .

Robert-

Give me a call about what your dogs are doing and I can direct you in the right category.

Who is the sanctioning body (AKC, UKC, etc.)? I'm thinking about playing some games with my pup when he is older. I was planning on going to the Field Trial at Whetsone Creek CA near Fulton, MO the first weekend of Feb, but this one is a lot closer to me (half the distance). If they're different types of trials, I may just have to go check them both out. :) I'm still trying to figure out the differences in all these different games, so any advice would be appreciated.

No, you can actually run unregistered dogs if you wanted to. They dont have to be registered to get a dog of the year award, but to receive win certificates they do.
