well i had a bad surprise tonight when i got home from work went out to my kennels to feed and give fresh water to my dogs out in the kennels and found my old female (9) year old had passed away some time this morning she was doubled up with my 3 year old male with a dog house full of hay and wind blocks around the kennel its a sad day in our home with the loss of one of our dogs

I wouldn't think it was weather related based upon your post. Likely some other reason. Either way, bad deal.

Sorry to hear that bowhunter. I seriously doubt that the weather had anything to do with it, but it is a loss and a sad thing, regardless of the cause.

That's not a good deal but I'm sure it wasn't the cold. Especially with a lab they can handle a lot of cold and if she had a dog house to get into I'm sure it was something unrelated to the cold.

With a good draft free house, good bedding, and a full stomach it probably is something else but they do need that full stomach to produce heat.
