How many hours do/did your dog sleep when a pup vs adult?

Pups sleep a lot and older dogs sleep most of the time. Thats about the best I can do. There is a period inbetween where they sleep less I think.

As pups, our first slept all the time. We'd play for three minutes, he'd sleep for hours. The second...well, lets just say, I've been waiting 6 months for her to sleep. She must be wound a little tighter!

They both sleep through the night, although its not uncommon for them to bask in the sun an catch a few minutes on the floor.

How many hours do/did your dog sleep when a pup vs adult?

Our adults sleep most of the day unless we are hunting. The average adult dog sleeps over 12 hours a day.
Our 5 week old puppies are sleeping 3 hours, then play for 45 minutes, then sleep for 6 hours, play for 45 minutes, repeat....
When they get to be 6 to 9 months, they will play for up to 90 minutes than sleep for a few hours.
